Everything you need to know for a high school trip!

Are you looking to plan a High School Trip for your son or daughter’s graduation? There are a lot of questions when it comes to where to begin and how one of these vacations works. Luckily, we’ve put together a list of the top questions and answers we receive on a regular basis from groups. General Questions

Go Blue High School is run by Go Blue’s skillful sales, operation, and on-site staff teams to bring High School students aged 16-19 to their destination. The students will spend 5 or 7 nights in one of our beautiful beachfront resorts with our On-site staff ensuring they have an amazing experience. We have plenty of options for your group when it comes to Hotel, Dates, Inclusions, etc. Continue reading to learn and decide the best option for your group.

While we cannot say that every single destination is 100% safe, we can say we’ve been offering these tours for 10+ years and wouldn’t send anyone on a trip we felt was unsafe. We also have a designated staff on top of the resort staff on site to be an extra set of eyes and hands.

All of our international destinations are all inclusive meaning all meals, drinks and snacks are included! There are some exceptions to premium liquors, meals, etc. Keep in mind, in order to consume alcohol beverages at an all inclusive resort you must be 18 years of age or older. You can still attend these trips if you’re under 17, you’ll just need a parent consent form.

All taxes and fees are included in our packages. Each resort may vary and could require a cash/credit card security deposit.


Parents, you can also serve as chaperones. Many parents plan a trip of 15 or more students and go for free. We are happy to give you more information on this.

Yes. Not only will you get an all inclusive bracelet from the resort you’ll also get a Go Blue Tours wrist bracelet so that the resort knows where you came from should they need to get in contact with us. 

Yes – we guarantee your date of travel!

 Yes. You’ll have access to everything included in the trip from the time of booking. You’ll receive the full flight itinerary as well as all needed documentation to travel 30 days prior to your trip.

Yes. Once you’re ready for the reservation we will send you a link so that each person can sign up individually and make their own payments.

Payment plans are available for all groups. You can work directly with your Account Executive to set the best payment schedule for everyone!

Resort standards are that for 4 people to a room you will have 2 full size beds. 

Yes. While we do not book them directly, you will have the ability to book excursions at the hospitality desk or through our transportation company!

The Best Trips at the Best Prices, Guaranteed! Find a better price? Many of our competitors have hidden fees and wacky terms. That’s most likely why they seem so cheap! Call us, email us, let us know: 855-224-6258 | [email protected]. We’ll go through the details and see if you can get a better deal. We’ll compare the payment and trip terms to make sure they are comparable. It must be for the same hotel, departure city, dates, number of people, etc.

Travel Questions

We can offer packages with or without flight. If you’re a larger group, it can be easier for us to handle the flight. However, we cannot guarantee a specific airline or direct flights. If you’d like to be in full control of that or want to use any airline miles/points, you are welcome to purchase the flight separately. Either way – we still provide transportation to and from the airport.

We work with transportation companies in each destination, predominantly Discova Tours. Depending on your group size they’ll have airport transfer vans or larger coach buses to try to fit the entire group. Sometimes 2 buses are required.  

Each individual will be in charge of finding and receiving his/her own luggage from baggage claim.

Without the purchase of our optional insurance, all payments are non refundable. We do offer insurance for purchase allowing you to file a claim to receive a 75% refund minus the initial cost of insurance. (Depending on your state of residence – ask us for more info!)

By choosing to offer travel insurance to US residents, Go Blue Tours is providing you a financial safety net for most unforeseen travel inconveniences. We offer optional cancellation protection through a third-party company called Travel Insured. We do highly recommend all travelers to opt-in for this protection, as it protects your money should you have to cancel, and it protects you on-site should anything happen (trip delay, doctor visit, lost luggage, etc.). Travel Protection only covers payments made after it is added to the traveler’s account.


CFAR (Cancel For Any Reason) Protection – Available to all states except residents of New York (NY residents see the following paragraph). Cancel for Any Reason allows you to do just that and receive at least 75% of your money back, minus the cost of the insurance. You can receive more than 75% back due to the specific reason for cancellation. All claims and refunds are made and processed through Travel Insured. An email of cancellation must be sent by the traveler to the Account Representative at least 48 hours prior to departure canceling their trip in order for them to be eligible for money back.


Cancellation – NY RESIDENTS – Allows you to cancel for specific reasons and receive 100% back. New York residents do not qualify for the CFAR protection. They do have to have a specific reason for canceling in order to qualify for money back. Cancellations must be made, in writing via email, from the traveler, 48 hours prior to departure in order to qualify.


NON-US RESIDENTS – Travel Protection is not offered to those that are residents outside of the US. If you are a resident of a country other than the United States, please contact a Travel Protection Company in your country of residence and purchase travel protection for this trip.

Certain hotels do require security deposits (some refundable, others non-refundable) upon check-in during the month of March. Each traveler is required to pay this security deposit for incidentals. The non-refundable ones are collected at check-in. The refundable ones are collected at check-in, and promptly given back at check-out. Each hotel does have specific deposits, so it is best to check directly with the hotel for the set amount. Deposits are subject to change upon the hotel’s discretion.


Oasis Cancun Lite, Cancun – $33 CASH per person, non-refundable security deposit paid upon check-in to the Oasis Cancun Lite.


Solmar, Cabo – $100 CASH per person, refundable security deposit paid upon check-in to the Solmar in Cabo San Lucas.


Riu Santa Fe, Cabo – $30 CASH may be requested upon check-in, refundable at check-out pending there are no incidents.


Occidental Caribe, Punta Cana – $100 per person, refundable security deposit to be paid, cash or card, at check-in at the Occidental Caribe *Hotel does prefer cash to speed up your check-in time.


Some hotels do charge for lost items, such as room keys and towel cards. The cost of lost items depend on the specific hotel and travelers must pay prior to check out. Any incidentals charged to travelers must also be paid at check-out. Broken hotel property, destruction of the hotel property, etc. will be charged to travelers and collected by the hotel upon check-out.
