A Female’s Guide to Skin Protection

If you are hitting Mexico for spring break, you are probably working hard to get your body in swimsuit ready condition. As such, the last thing you want to do is cover up as you sit on the beach or lounge by the pool. However, you need to take precautions to protect your skin. If you fail to do so, you can become sunburnt. Not only can this make you uncomfortable while on vacation, but it can cause wrinkles to develop prematurely and sunspots to form. Here are a few tips to follow that will help in skin protection while still looking sexy.

Use Sunscreen

The best way to protect your skin while sitting in the sun is to wear sunscreen. The experts recommend that you use at least a 30 SPF that is waterproof when you plan to sit by a pool or at the beach. It is also important to liberally apply the sunscreen to your body at least once every two hours. Wearing sunscreen will not take anything away from your body; it will just help to keep you from becoming burnt.

Put on a Hat

If you are sitting in the sun all day, protect your delicate facial skin by wearing a hat if you can’t stay shaded under a beach umbrella. Fortunately, you can still look sexy while wearing a hat. You can throw on your boyfriends ball cap for a girl next door look or wear a wide brimmed hat for a mysterious yet sexy look.

Cover Your Eyes

When you are outdoors, be sure to protect your eyes from the sun as well. Throw on a pair of sunglasses to do this. Select a pair that accentuates your face in order to stay sexy looking.

Wear a UV Cover Up

The last tip for protecting your skin from the sun is to use a UV cover up. There are so many cover ups you can buy to throw over your swimsuit. However, unless the cover up offers UV protection, it won’t protect your skin from the  sun’s rays. UV cover ups are available in a variety of fabrics, colors, cuts and styles, ensuring there is something out there that will showcase your amazing figure, while still offering you some protection from the sun.
