Frequently
Asked Questions.
How much does a college spring break trip cost?
Go Blue Tours all-inclusive packages start around $499 per person for Panama City Beach and run to about $1,199+ for premium destinations like Nassau and Fort Lauderdale. Most international trips (Cancún, Punta Cana) land near $799–$899 per person and cover hotel, airport transfers, taxes, party passes, and an on-site host. Airfare is separate unless you add it, and there are no hidden booking fees.
What is the cheapest spring break destination?
Panama City Beach, Florida is the most affordable at about $499 per person and needs no passport. South Padre Island, Texas (~$549) and Freeport, Bahamas (~$749) are the next cheapest. Domestic destinations cost less because there is no international airfare.
Which spring break destinations do not require a passport?
The three U.S. destinations — Panama City Beach (Florida), Fort Lauderdale (Florida), and South Padre Island (Texas) — require only a valid government-issued photo ID. Cancún, Cabo San Lucas, Punta Cana, Nassau, and Freeport are international and require a passport valid for at least 6 months past your return date.
What is the best spring break destination for college students?
Cancún is the #1 college spring break destination — beachfront all-inclusive resorts, the largest party scene, and short flights from most U.S. hubs, from about $899 per person. Punta Cana (~$799) is the best international value, and Panama City Beach (~$499) is the top passport-free domestic pick.
Cancún vs Punta Cana — which is better for spring break?
Both are international all-inclusive beach destinations with an 18 drinking age and a passport requirement. Pick Cancún (~$899) for the biggest party scene and the most flight options; pick Punta Cana (~$799) for the best value and the calmer all-inclusive resorts on Bavaro Beach.
Is spring break in Cancún and Mexico safe?
Yes. The resort zones in Cancún, Cabo, and Punta Cana are tourist-focused and heavily secured. Go Blue Tours books vetted resorts, includes round-trip airport transfers so you are never finding your own way, and staffs an on-site host at your hotel all week. Use the buddy system, keep your passport/ID secure, and stay within resort and partner-club areas.
When is my spring break?
Spring break dates vary by school and usually fall between late February and late March. Look up your exact week with our free Spring Break Dates tool at gobluetours.com/when-is-my-spring-break/. Peak weeks (early-to-mid March) sell out first, so check early.
Does Go Blue Tours book flights too?
Yes. Flights can be added to any package, or you can book the land package only and arrange your own airfare. Your Account Executive can quote flights from your home airport alongside the trip.
What is NOT included in the package?
Your package covers the hotel stay, all-inclusive food and drink at most resorts, airport transfers, party passes, taxes, and your on-site Go Blue host. Not included: airfare (unless added), passport fees, personal spending, optional excursions, and gratuities. There are no hidden booking fees.
What is the minimum age to travel?
Most travelers are 18 or older. Travelers under 18 generally need a parent or guardian to book and may need notarized consent for international travel — ask your Account Executive. Drinking age is 18 in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas, and 21 in the United States.
How do I book a Go Blue Tours trip?
Pick a destination, get a quote, and your Account Executive walks you through everything. We handle the booking, sign waivers digitally in your portal, and ship your trip ID before you fly.
When should I book?
As early as possible. Top hotels for peak weeks (Mar 7–20) sell out by November. Booking before October typically saves 15–25% per person.
Can I book just for myself?
Yes. Solo travelers can join an existing group, room with same-gender travelers, or request a private room (additional supplement applies).
How much is the deposit?
$99 per person to lock in your spot. The rest can be paid in interest-free monthly installments through our financing partner — pay off the trip before you fly.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH bank transfer, and the Go Blue installment plan.
Are there hidden fees?
No. Your quote includes hotel, transfers, party passes, taxes, and Go Blue concierge support. The only out-of-pocket items are airfare (unless added) and personal spending.
Do I need a passport?
Yes for any international destination (Cancún, Cabo, Punta Cana, Nassau, Freeport). Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months past your return date. Domestic Panama City Beach trips only need a valid US ID.
What if my passport is delayed?
We have a partnership with an expedited passport service that can deliver in as little as 5 business days. Talk to your Account Executive ASAP if you're in this situation.
Do I need a visa?
US citizens do not need a visa for Mexico, Dominican Republic, or the Bahamas for short tourist stays. Other passport holders should check requirements with their embassy.
What's included in my package?
Hotel stay (typically 5 or 7 nights), all-inclusive food and drinks (most resorts), airport transfers, party pass to our partner clubs, on-site Go Blue host, and 24/7 trip support.
Will I have a Go Blue staff member at my destination?
Always. Spring Break Hosts greet you at the airport, run the welcome party, and stay on-site at your hotel for the entire week.
What's the drinking age?
18 in Mexico, Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. 21 in the United States. Always carry your passport or ID.
What if I need to cancel?
Refunds depend on how close you are to departure. With Travel Protection, you may be reimbursed up to 100% for covered reasons (or 75% for any reason on the Premium plan). Without Travel Protection, the deposit is non-refundable, and the cancellation schedule applies.
Can I transfer my booking to a friend?
Yes — up to 14 days before departure, for a small admin fee. Your AE handles the swap.
Can I change my dates or destination?
Date and destination changes are free up to 60 days before departure, subject to availability. After that, a change fee may apply.
Do you offer group discounts?
Yes. Group rates kick in at 8 travelers and improve at 16, 32, and 50+. Group organizers also unlock free or discounted spots — see our Campus Manager program.
Do roommates have to book at the same time?
No, but they should book within the same week to lock the rate. Your AE keeps the room held while everyone confirms.
How big can my group get?
No limit — we've moved entire chapters of 200+. Larger groups get a dedicated planner, private welcome party, and a free room block strategy session.
