Yes. Cabo is in Mexico, so you need a passport valid for at least six months beyond your return date. U.S. citizens do not need a visa for a short tourist stay. Panama City Beach, South Padre Island and Fort Lauderdale are the no-passport alternatives and need only a valid U.S. photo ID.

The legal drinking age in Mexico is 18. Resorts, beach clubs and bars do check ID, so travel with your passport or a government-issued photo ID.

It runs from noon to sunrise and it is louder than most people expect from a resort town. Médano Beach hosts the outdoor day parties, then it moves to El Squid Roe — three storeys of bar that stays loud all night — and Mango Deck, which is a restaurant by day and a beach party by night.
