1. Occidental Caribe — from $599
The reliable, affordable Punta Cana pick, and the resort that shows up most on our 2027 bookings. It is a 798-room beachfront property on Bávaro Beach, 20 minutes from the airport, with two large pools, a night club, a casino, and a spa.
What makes it work for spring break is the setup: our students stay in a dedicated spring-breaker building next to the pool, the beach, the beach bar, and the 24-hour snack bar. You are surrounded by other college groups and you are never more than a few minutes from anything.
Rated 4.4/5 by our travelers. Rooms sleep up to four, which is how the per-person price gets this low.
Book it if: price is the first filter and you want the most spring-break-dense property in Punta Cana. Skip it if: you want a quieter beach or higher-end food.
2. Occidental Punta Cana — from $799
The larger sister property on the same beach. Same all-inclusive format, more à la carte restaurants, a bigger pool area, and a slightly more grown-up feel outside the pool bar. It is the natural step up for groups who like the Occidental Caribe price-to-party ratio but want more room.
Book it if: you want the Occidental brand with more choice at dinner. Skip it if: the $200-per-person difference matters more than the extra restaurants.
3. Riu Republica — from $1,049
The party resort. Adults-only, 1,300-plus rooms, eight pools, nine restaurants, and a 24-hour open-bar policy with premium liquor. It is one of the newer resorts in Punta Cana and it was built for exactly this crowd. Pool parties run most afternoons in March and the on-site club goes late.
Book it if: everyone in your group is 18+ and the party is the point. Skip it if: anyone is under 18, or if the extra $450 per person over Occidental Caribe is not worth it to you.
